The European Social Simulation Association (ESSA) promotes the development of social simulation research, education and application in Europe. ESSA has become the most important hub of social simulation worldwide. By collaborating with CSSA, the Computational Social Science Society of the Americas, and PAAA, the Pacific Asian Association for Agent-based Approach in Economic & Social Complex Systems, ESSA has promoted international initiatives to build a bridge between regional groups and associations. Being an ESSA member means being an active part of a vibrant and growing multidisciplinary community, obtaining benefits and discounts to participate in annual ESSA meetings, promoting your research to a wide audience, and finding collaboration opportunities.
The International System Dynamics Society (ISDS) is a non-profit, international organisation dedicated to promoting the development and use of System Dynamics modelling, a powerful tool for understanding complex systems and solving real-world problems. Founded in 1984, the Society has become the leading community of System Dynamics practitioners, researchers, and educators. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds and industries, including business, government, academia, and non-profits, and share a common goal of using System Dynamics to positively impact the world. The Society provides a variety of resources and opportunities for its members.
The BEHAVE school aims to train students on agent-based modelling through theoretical and practical lectures, daily hands-on sessions, project presentations, and personal counselling by experts, jointly organised by the Behave Lab, the University of Milan, and the University of Brescia. The school is hybrid and takes place at the University of Brescia, Faculty of Engineering, Italy.
